    I'm actually not sure what kind of flower it is. I found it at a lily pond, so it's probably something related to that. I will try to do some research and figure it out!

    may I answer the question about the flower?
    It is a beautiful picture of a water lily bud.(Nymphaea).
    About fifty species of Nymphaea are known as water lilies.
    You have a great blog with detailed information about Macro Photography.
    Last year I started to take pictures with my new LUMIX DMC-FX18. I just point and shoot:-)

    I really like this picture a lot. I'm not sure why except for maybe that it's just a beautiful flower. I like the way the light hits it.
